What is a blouse? I know this question may seem silly to some, but I feel like many people are using the incorrect terms when it comes to tops for women.
Women have many different types of tops: tshirts, camisoles, blouses, halter top, tank top, tunics, etc. Blouses are definitely a thing and should be defined accordingly.
Blouses are defined as being made of cotton or silk cloth most often being tailored to give a more shapely look. A Blouse is considered a dress shirt for Women. Most blouses have some type of embellishment, ruffle, embroidery, and texture to provide a more feminine look.
Many blouses have a front button down or zipper of some sort. They can be worn tucked in or out depending on the hem of the blouse. Blouses normally have a square, oval, halter, high, or round neck depending on the occasion. The sleeves can be sheer or not, sleeveless, and spaghetti strap.
I hope this clears up any confusion that you may have in regards to what a blouse is.
